Puppy therapy is time in a calm, enclosed room with puppies roaming freely. You sit down, they come and go as they please, and that's genuinely it. No class, no schedule to follow, no agenda — just holding, petting, playing, and the quiet moments in between.
Our puppies are 8 to 12 weeks old and come from ethical, vetted breeders. Every session is supervised by Pet First Aid certified staff and run with veterinary-grade hygiene protocols and you can read more about how we do that on our puppy standards page.
No experience needed
There's nothing to learn and nothing to keep up with. If you can sit on the floor and let a puppy climb into your lap, you're fully qualified.
Nothing to perform
No poses, no instructor counting you through anything. The whole point is that the session asks nothing of you to let you fully decompress and feel good.
Small by design
Sessions are kept small, so the room stays calm for the puppies and you get real time with them.
The Puppy Aura Experience
The puppies are already out and roaming when you arrive, and they're never forced to interact, they take breaks whenever they want them. Some will climb straight into your lap, others will watch you from across the room until they're ready. Both are exactly right.
If you're wondering about the practical details, what to wear, who can attend, and what's included, we've covered all of that in what to expect at your first puppy therapy session.
It's Not Puppy Yoga
Puppy therapy is often confused with puppy yoga, so to be direct: there is no yoga here. No poses, no mats, no flow to keep up with. Our sessions are No Yoga Required — the puppies aren't a prop in a workout, and you're just there to be with them.
Most Importantly, It Helps the Puppies!
This is the part that matters most to us. The 8 to 12 week window is a critical socialization period in a puppy's life and the experiences they have during these weeks shape the dog they become. Gentle, calm exposure to new people, new sounds, and new handling during a session helps these puppies grow into happy, confident, well-socialized dogs.
So the time genuinely goes both ways: you leave calmer, and they leave better prepared for the world. Most of our puppies already have forever homes lined up, this isn't an adoption event, it's a head start on the rest of their lives.
